About

Some would say that writers have always been writers since they day they first picked up a pen, or started tapping away at a keyboard. My personal journey into the craft began when I was quite young, and I ended up developing my talents during a significant stretch of employment in the technology field. I worked through several positions over a period of ten years in biotechnology, IT and pharmaceuticals research, all the while shouldering a significant writing load in addition to my other duties at each company. Gradually, I came to realize that I enjoyed the writing far more than the other aspects of my work and I moved exclusively into the written realm.

During this same period I was also heavily involved with the two passions in my life: music and cars. I was running a record label (a venture I am still involved with) and racing as often as I could. It seemed only natural that I apply my years of hard-earned experience in both the rough and tumble music business and the automotive world to my writing projects. I found myself quickly engaged in not only assisting corporations with their documentation and white paper needs but also writing articles by drawing from my memories of helping my father restore his collection of antique automobiles, as well as the tough lessons taught to me while navigating years of record releases and musical event planning.

Over time, I was able to build a niche that focused on these three core subjects – business, automotive and music writing. Of course, I often find myself tackling topics that have nothing to do with these areas of interest – after all, I appreciate variety and do have an insatiable curiosity – but they have managed to form the backbone of my writing business.

Writing is something I enjoy, and something that I have to do. I am fortunate that my profession as a freelance writer provides me with an outlet that allows me to help others communicate with their chosen audience. The feeling I get when I enable a client to connect with their intended readership is indeed a good one, and it helps me to put in the extra effort that each piece of copy, article or document deserves in order to achieve its full potential.
