It looks like I am going to be saying goodbye to my E34 5-Series BMW next week, as I have found a buyer who is interested in using both the engine and transmission in two different turbocharged project cars.

I’m not ashamed of it – I have been a fan of The Fast and The Furious movie franchise since it first hit theatres in 2001. At one time in my life, you might even have been able to call me a Fast and Furious evangelist.

It appears as though my pining for top-down weather was premature, as we have been walloped by rain for the last 5 days straight. Depressing, but productive from a writing perspective, and it has helped me keep my ear to the ground and find some interesting subjects for this week’s five thoughts about the auto industry.
