Code 45 Montreal Metro Map Has Arrive From The Printer

We had a new shipment that arrive at Code 45 HQ today – the Montreal Metro Map designed by Angela Hodge. This tri-fold map tracks sightings and lore surrounding the dragons that lurk in the metro tunnels. The design combines a version of the early 2000s Montreal metro network with the ‘here be dragons’ maps and legends of the ancient mariners.

This was an idea that had been percolating in the back of my mind since the first issue. We considered a number of designs, some of which took more of an inspiration from the parchment-and-sea-serpents motif that you often find on the inlays of old, leatherbound adventure books. It was Angela who suggested we do the map in the style of the paper hand-outs that used to be available at each Metro kiosk, back before everything went digital.

We also had to find good representations of the older Metro system online to use as inspiration, because the current network includes several stations – particularly the Laval extension – that didn’t exist back when Vanessa and her friends were dealing with the dragon menace.

We’ll be sending one of these maps to each and every supporter who purchased a printed copy of the Code 45 #2-3 mega-issue, as it was the last stretch goal that we met before the mega-issue campaign wrapped up.
