3D Printing Transports Code 45’s Characters From The Comic Book Page To The Real World

A 3D printer at home can be a dangerous thing, especially when you’re as creative as Code 45’s design expert Angela Hodge. Not content to leave our graphic novel’s character’s trapped flat on the page, she’s been working on a Top Secret (even from me) project involving intricately sculpted and painted versions of Vanessa, Pierre-Yves, and Nikki.

Still a work in progress, Angela surprised me with her creations when I visited her and Joe Ng over the holidays. It’s part of a larger project that is still taking shape, but it’s intriguing to say the least, and I’m excited to see where this goes.

There are so many different aspects of the Code 45 universe that would lend themselves well to figurines, and Angela has already proven how versatile she is with the paper toys she produced for our Kickstarter campaigns over the past two years.

If Vanessa and her crew have already been printed, it’s hard to imagine that a pack of dragons isn’t far behind. I can’t wait to see what Angela comes up with as she continues to explore the Code 45 3D printing possibilities.
