This fall is shaping up to be a hectic one, with one vehicle launch after another, and I’m privileged to be able to drive several brand new models over the course of the upcoming month and a half. Tomorrow I’ll be in San Antonio, Texas, to drive the 2015 Ford F-150, the first aluminum-bodied pickup on the market and the single most important model in the Blue Oval’s line-up. I am very curious to see how it holds up in the ultra-competitive full-size segment, where Ford has traditionally dominated.
Just last week I was in Del Mar, California, where I drove the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon mid-size trucks. These two vehicles are a bit of a do-over for General Motors, as the previous generation Colorado and Canyon weren’t all that popular. I found the Chevrolet and GMC entries to be much more modern, and better-rounded, when compared against the aging Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier that serve as the only other real mid-size options out there right now.
